This coming Sunday, December 30, we celebrate with one service at 10:00. Ken Matthews, a life-long member of our church, will conduct the service for the 30th time, he started back in 1989!  

This coming Sunday, December 23, marks the fourth Sunday in the church season of Advent, we light the Advent Candle of Love. We also celebrate another Family Service at 10:00. Our Carol and Chapel Choirs will sing and our 8th Grade Confirmation Class will assist me in leading the service.

Please help spread the word that we have planned three services for Christmas Eve at 4:30, 7:00 and 9:30. The 4:30 Christmas Pageant is designed especially for families with young children. The 7:00 service features the Chancel Choir and Christmas Brass. At the 9:30 service we celebrate the sacrament of Holy Communion and enjoy special music provided by a quartet from the Chancel Choir. All three services include candle lighting and a selection of traditional Christmas hymns.

This coming Sunday, December 9, marks the second Sunday in the church season of Advent.  The Chancel Choir joins us at the 10:00 service, and we light the Advent Candle of Peace.

This coming Sunday is also another Church School Sunday in the life of our church. Our kids will be learning about the Christmas Story and making a small table decoration to share with their family and friends.

This coming Sunday, November 11, we celebrate another Church School Sunday in the life of our church. Our children will be learning the story of Moses and the Golden Calf and learning the Golden Rule. As a mission project, they will be assembling activity bags for children in shelter at Advocates. 

Sherri Melichar plays the organ and piano at both services and the Chancel Choir joins us at the 10:00 service.

Our annual Fall Congregational Meeting will be held in the sanctuary immediately following the 10:00 service.

On Sunday evening, Bonnie Jacque-Gorecki, a member of our Ministry Team, will conduct the second of two Sunday Evening Conversations about the Theology of the Lion King from 6:00 to 7:30 in the church Library.

This coming Sunday, November 4, is All Saints Sunday in the life of our church.  We celebrate the Sacrament of Holy Communion at both services and we remember all those friends and loved ones who have died in the course of the past year.

This coming Sunday, October 28, we celebrate our second Family Service of the year at 10:00. The Carol and Chapel Choirs will sing and our 8th Grade Confirmation Class will help lead the service.

Looking ahead to next week, please help spread the word that the Fellowship Team is hosting a Halloween Potluck Dinner on Wednesday evening, October 31, from 5:30 to 7:00. The Team is preparing food, but you are welcome to bring your favorite dish or dessert to share. Hotdogs and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are always available for the kids. We are planning a few Halloween activities. Costumes are optional!

This coming Sunday, October 14, we celebrate another Church School Sunday in the life of our church. Our children will be learning the story of Moses and the Burning Bush and talking about the courage it takes to try something new. They will be making courage buttons and keychains to remind them of the story.

This coming Sunday, September 30, we read from the Book of Esther in the Hebrew Scriptures, the only book in the Bible that does not mention God, even once! It reads more like a Shakespearean play than a Bible story. Kai-i Tien will be with us at the piano.

This coming Sunday, September 23, we celebrate our first Family Service of the year at 10:00. Our Carol and Chapel Choirs will sing and we officially dedicate our 2019 Confirmation Class.

In other news, our church has partnered with four other churches in Port Washington and Saukville to begin an Ecumenical Youth Ministry, for kids in middle school and high school. A Kick-Off Event is planned for this coming Sunday afternoon, at 4:00, at the Grand Avenue United Methodist Church Family Center. Please click here for more details.

We have now begun a new program year in the life of our church.
We, once again, celebrate two services on Sunday mornings at 8:00 and 10:00.

This coming Sunday, September 16, Craig Modahl, a member of our Ministry Team, will conduct our first Sunday Evening Service of the year from 6:00 – 6:30, in Fellowship Hall. If you are not able to join me on Sunday morning, please join Craig on Sunday evening!

A new program year begins this coming Sunday morning, September 9. We move to two services at 8:00 and 10:00.

We also celebrate our first Church School Sunday of the year at 10:00. Our children will be learning the story of Philip and the Ethiopian. The theme for the morning is Being Welcoming People. The kids will be making welcoming door hangers for their homes and rooms.
