On Sunday morning, July 2, we celebrate the Sacrament of Holy Communion.

The following Sunday, July 9, David Franks and Louise Mollinger will lead our morning service. As many of you know, David and Louise host Port Conversations at the Niederkorn Library. Please join them for a conversation about life and faith.

Don’t forget that during the summer months we celebrate with one service on Sunday mornings at 10:00.

June 21, 2017

This coming Sunday, June 25, has been officially designated as Bike to Church Sunday in the life of our church.  It doesn’t matter whether you are a serious racer or a bike trail cruiser, please become a “holy roller” and ride to church.  Immediately following the service, Jeff will conduct bike blessings in the parking lot.

Don’t forget that during the summer months we celebrate with one service  on Sunday mornings at 10:00 .

This coming Sunday, June 18, is Father’s Day. Rev. Don Niederfrank has offered to provide the morning meditation and Jeff will do everything else, including the Special Music! Kai-i will be at the piano.

This coming Sunday, June 4, is Pentecost Sunday in the life of the church. We celebrate the Sacrament of Holy Communion, and we take a moment to recognize all of our high school graduates.

This coming Sunday, May 28, is Confirmation Sunday in the life of our church. Thirteen members of our 8th Grade Confirmation Class will confirm their faith and become official members of our church.

Don’t forget that we also begin our summer schedule with one service on Sunday mornings at 10:00.

This coming Sunday, May 14, is Mother’s Day.  The Handbell Choir joins our celebration at 10:00 and Pru Palecek will be at the piano.

As part of both services, we will dedicate our new church signs in memory of Harold and Marion Matthews.

This coming Sunday, May 7, we celebrate the Sacrament of Holy Communion at both services.  Kai-i Tien will be at the piano.

Please help spread the word that we have scheduled an Earth Day Clean-Up of the church grounds, and our Creekside Commons park space, for this coming Saturday, April 22, beginning at 8:00.  Please bring your gloves and rakes and come lend a hand.

As many of you know, the past couple of Sundays have been extraordinarily busy ones in the life of our church.

For that reason, I am pleased to let you know that this coming Sunday, April 2, promises to be both quiet and reflective.  We celebrate the Sacrament of Holy Communion at both services and Pru Palecek will offer our special music.

Looking ahead, please don’t forget that Holy Week begins on Sunday, April 9, with our celebration of Palm Sunday, followed by all of our special Holy Week services.

March 24, 2017

This coming Sunday morning, March 26, will be a little different than most Sunday mornings.

We celebrate the Fourth Sunday in Lent at 8:00. We will read the story about Jesus and the Man Born Blind, taken from the ninth chapter of the Gospel of John.

We celebrate another Family Service at 10:00. Our focus will be on the Sacrament of Baptism and the Sacrament of Holy Communion. The Carol and Chapel Choirs will sing, and the Confirmation Class will assist me in leading the service.

Immediately following the 10:00 service we are holding a Special Congregational Meeting. The main item of business is an update regarding our annual Stewardship Campaign and our 2017 Church Budget.

We have now begun the church season of Lent, forty days (not counting Sundays) that lead us to the celebration of Easter.

Each Thursday evening during the church season of Lent (March 16, and 23, 30 and April 6) I am conducting a Lenten Reflection and Communion service in the church sanctuary. We gather from 6:00 to 6:30. 

If you are able, please come and join me.

Please help spread the word that I will, once again, be conducting a series of Lenten Reflection and Communion Services beginning on Thursday evening, March 16.  We meet in the sanctuary from 6:00 – 6:30.

May God bless us and keep us during our Lenten journey.

This coming Sunday, February 26, is known as Transfiguration Sunday in the life of the church. We celebrate another Family Service at 10:00. Our Carol and Chapel Choirs sing and our Confirmation Class assists me in leading the service.

It may be hard to believe, but next week we begin the church season of Lent. We celebrate with a Mardi Gras Pancake Dinner on Tuesday evening and an evening service on Ash Wednesday.

Please join me in marking the start of a new church season!

This coming Sunday, February 19, the Handbell Choir joins us at the 10:00 service. 

Immediately following the service, we are hosting the second of two study sessions on becoming an Immigrant Welcoming Conference. Alex Funk, the Chair of our Community Outreach Team, has offered to facilitate. 

In the spirit of being an Immigrant Welcoming Church, we have planned another Potluck Dinner with our neighbors from the Islamic Society of Sheboygan on Saturday evening, February 25, at 6:00. Children and youth are welcome to attend. Please RSVP by Wednesday, February 22, by contacting the church office.

This coming Sunday, January 29, our Senior Choir joins us at the 10:00 service as we continue to celebrate the church season of Epiphany.

Our annual Winter Congregational Meeting is scheduled for immediately following the service. Our two items of business are an end-of-the-year financial report and the approval of a 2017 Church Budget. All members of the church are encouraged to attend.

We are now in the midst of the church season of Epiphany, a time of light and life and new beginnings.

It’s the time of year when we read stories about God making surprise appearances in our lives; calling out to us in often unexpected ways.

This coming Sunday, January 22, we celebrate another Family Service at 10:00. Our Carol and Chapel Choirs will sing and our Confirmation Class assists me in leading the service.

For me, the month of January is defined by light, the winter light that begins pouring into the world following Christmas.

This coming Sunday, January 8, we begin the church season of Epiphany, a season defined by a new awareness of God’s presence among us. We celebrate the Sacrament of Holy Communion at both services and the Senior Choir joins us at 10:00.
