IN-PERSON WORSHIP - SUNDAY MORNINGS AT 9:00
During the summer months, from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend, we will have one service on Sunday mornings at 9:00. We are limiting our attendance to 60 persons, and require members and friends to sign up prior to coming to church. You may click here to sign up to attend worship, starting every Wednesday before the upcoming Sunday.
PASTOR SCOTT ON VACATION
Pastor Scott and his wife Laura will be on road trip that will bring them to Seattle, WA for a family wedding. While Scott is away from May 31 to June 22, the Rev. Don Niederfrank will be preaching and leading worship for the first three Sundays in June (June 6, 13, and 20). Don has also agreed to be on-call in the case of any emergency pastoral care issues. Please notify the church office if you have any pastoral needs.

REOPENING TEAM UPDATES
In-person church services resumed on Sunday, May 2. We held five services plus the special Confirmation service in the month of May. The average attendance for the church services was 31. Since we expanded the attendance limit to 60, there is plenty of room. We will be holding one service on Sunday mornings at 9:00 for the summer. At this time, folks will need to continue to sign up online prior to attending. The Reopening Team, along with Pastor Scott, will be meeting on Tuesday evening, June 22, to continue to assess and plan.
RECORDINGS OF WORSHIP SERVICES
The Sunday worship service will be recorded each week; if you would like to view the service as soon as it is uploaded, be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel ("First Congregational Church of Port Washington"). This allows you to receive immediate notification.
CHURCH FLOWER AND SHRUB BEDS - VOLUNTEER NEEDED
The church grounds are looking more beautiful than ever thanks to our church volunteers who each maintain a small section throughout the growing season. The primary task is pulling a few weeds that sneak through the mulch every few weeks. We are in need of an additional volunteer to help maintain a flower bed located in Creekside Commons. If you can lend a hand, please contact Beckie in the church office.
AA TO RESUME MEETINGS AT CHURCH
AA Group resumed meeting at our church every Sunday afternoon at 3:00. For more information, please contact the church office.
THURSDAY MEN'S BREAKFAST GROUP
Every Thursday morning at 8:00 a.m. a committed group of gentlemen from the church gather at The Beacon restaurant, which is located downtown on the first floor of The Harborview hotel. Ken Matthews has been their faithful facilitator, sending out email reminders to the men who have joined them previously. The group stopped meeting when the pandemic forced closure of area restaurants and has been meeting again as restrictions have eased over the last couple of months.
The group is open to all the men of the church. Everyone places their own order and pays their own bill. The conversation is filled with laughter, stories, tall tales, anecdotes as well as the latest updates on what folks are doing and how things are going. It is a great way to spend an hour (or two) and begin your day.
If you are interested in attending, you are welcome to just come on down and join the group. Or, you can send Ken an email if you have questions and to make sure you are on his email reminder list (k0matthews76@gmail.com).
WEDNESDAY NOON GROUP
Our Wednesday Noon Group has decided to take a break for the summer. They will decide to start back up either in August or September. If you are interested in learning more, please email Pastor Scott (pastorscott@portucc.org).
