ADVENT REFLECTION AND COMMUNION
Each Thursday evening during the church season of Advent, December 6, 13 and 20, you are invited to join Jeff for a time of silent reflection and prayer followed by the celebration of Holy Communion. We gather in the church sanctuary at 6:00 and are on our way by 6:30. Please help spread the word!
CHRISTMAS GIVING
In celebration of Christmas, you are invited to order a poinsettia and/or donate to one of the six community organizations that our church supports on an ongoing basis. Your poinsettia will help decorate our sanctuary for Christmas. Your gift of money will help lift the spirits of those who are in need within our own community. Please return this form by Monday, December 17.
CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICES
We have planned three services for Christmas Eve at 4:30, 7:00 and 9:30. The 4:30 Christmas Pageant is designed especially for families with young children. The 7:00 service features the Senior Choir and Christmas Brass. At the 9:30 service we celebrate the sacrament of Holy Communion and enjoy special music provided by a quartet from the Chancel Choir. All three evening services include candle lighting and a selection of traditional Christmas hymns. Please invite your neighbors and friends to come and join us.
FAMILY SERVICES AND CHURCH SCHOOL SUNDAYS
We celebrate a Family Service on the fourth Sunday of each month at 10:00. The service includes the participation of our 8th Grade Confirmation Class and Children's Choirs. Our next Family Service is Sunday morning, December 23.
Church School meets on the second Sunday of each month at 10:00. All children 4K through 7th grade are invited to participate. Our next Church School Sunday is Sunday, January 13.
CHRISTMAS FUND OFFERING
For over 100 years the United Church of Christ has received the Christmas Fund offering to provide emergency assistance and support to retired clergy and church employees who do not have adequate retirement income. We receive this offering on Sunday, December 23 and 30. To learn more about this special offering, click here.
ECUMENICAL YOUTH MINISTRY - CHRISTMAS PARTY
Our church has partnered with four other churches in Port Washington and Saukville to begin an Ecumenical Youth Ministry for middle and high school youth. Their next event is a Youth Christmas Party on Sunday, December 23, from 4:30 to 6:00, at the Grand Avenue Church Family Center.

33rd ANNUAL CHRISTMAS TREE SALE
Our annual Christmas tree sale began the Friday following Thanksgiving and runs until Christmas Eve. We sell the finest quality trees all grown in Wisconsin! Once again, everyone is invited to help sell trees. Please sign-up online.
ANNUAL STEWARDSHIP CAMPAIGN
Our annual Stewardship Campaign is now underway. Members and friends of the church are asked to make a formal pledge to support the church financially in the year to come. Please visit our Stewardship Page for more information or to complete the online pledge form.
FELLOWSHIP HOUR ON SUNDAY MORNINGS
We host a Fellowship Hour following our 8:00 service on the first Sunday of each month, and following our 10:00 services on the second and fourth Sundays of each month.
NURSERY
Every Sunday morning during the 10:00 service we provide a nursery for children newborn through 4-years-old. Care is provided by our 8th grade Confirmation students and their families. Parents are required to register their children, and to sign their children in and out of the nursery. We want to do our very best to make the nursery safe and secure.
SUNDAY EVENING SERVICES
Rev. Craig Modahl, a member of our Ministry Team, conducts Sunday Evening Services, from 6:00 to 6:30, on the first and third Sundays of each month. The first Sunday of the month includes the celebration of Holy Communion. There will be no service on December 16. The next Sunday Evening Communion Service is Sunday, January 6.
SUNDAY EVENING CONVERSATION
Bonnie Jacque-Gorecki, a member of our Ministry Team, is conducting a Sunday Evening Conversation, from 6:00 to 7:30, on January 13, in the church Library. The group will be discussing a book entitled How Can I Let Go If I Don't Know I'm Holding On? by Linda Douty. You are invited to attend even if you do not finish the book!
FEBRUARY WOMEN'S RETREAT
We are planning a Women's Retreat from Noon on Saturday, February 23 to Noon on Sunday, February 24 at the ChristPond Retreat Center just north of Random Lake. For more information, please contact Bonnie Jacque-Gorecki, a member of our Ministry Team, at jacquebonnie@yahoo.com.
WEDNESDAY LUNCH AT CHURCH
Every Wednesday at Noon, you are invited to meet Jeff at church for lunch and Bible study. The group always takes time to visit before reflecting upon the lectionary reading for the upcoming Sunday. Coffee is provided, but please bring your own lunch.
MEN’S BREAKFAST
Men in the church are invited to gather for breakfast every Thursday morning, at 8:00, at the Dockside Deli. The group often has fun considering a Question of the Day.
YOGA AT CHURCH
A gentle yoga class is held in Fellowship Hall every Wednesday evening from 5:15 - 6:15. The cost is $10 per class. For more information, please contact Susan Niederfrank at susanniederfrank@gmail.com.
ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS
An AA Group meets at our church every Sunday afternoon at 3:00. For more information, please contact the church office.
SNOW CANCELLATION POLICY
With winter upon us, we want to remind you of the snow cancellation policy for our Sunday services. If it should be necessary to cancel one or both of our Sunday services, we will put a message on the church answering machine by 7:00 on Sunday morning. Please call the church office, 284-2022, if you have any doubts about the weather.
