LUNCH AND HOLY CONVERSATIONS

Pastor Jim is facilitating a three-part lunch series called Holy Conversations on Sundays January 26, February 9 and February 23, immediately following the 10:00 service. The Search Committee will be providing and Italian lunch for this coming Sunday, so all you need to do is plan to stay after church and join the lively dialogue! You are welcome to bring a dish to pass or a dessert if you'd like.

PAPERGOODS DRIVE TO SUPPORT FAMILY PROMISE

The Church School kids once again invite you to participate in their service project to support Family Promise of Ozaukee. Family Promise provides temporary housing to families and individuals who are homeless. They are in need of paper goods. Please consider donating toilet paper and paper towels. Monetary donations are also appreciated (checks can be made out to FCC). Donations can be dropped off in the church entryway through Sunday, February 9. WINTER CONGREGATIONAL MEETING UPDATE

Thank you to the almost fifty folks who stayed after church for our annual Winter Congregational Meeting on January 26. If you were unable to attend, please take a look at the Meeting Report prepared by Ray Shupe, our Church Moderator.

STEWARDSHIP CAMPAIGN UPDATE

Thank you to those of you who have made a financial pledge to support the church this year! As of January 28, there have been 112 individuals/families who have pledged a total of $161,033. SEARCH COMMITTEE UPDATE

The Search Committee has narrowed down their search to twelve candidates. The Committee conducted short video interviews on Thursday evenings during the month of January. They are meeting on February 6 to narrow down the field of candidates even more. If you have any general questions or input, please email the Committee at portuccsearch@gmail.com.

FAMILY SERVICE AND CHURCH SCHOOL SUNDAYS

Church School meets on the second Sunday of each month at 10:00. All children 4K through 7th grade are invited to participate. Our next Church School Sunday is this coming Sunday morning, February 9. The Church School kids will be dropping off papergoods donations to Family Promise, down the street.

We celebrate a Family Service on the fourth Sunday of each month at 10:00. The service includes the participation of our 8th Grade Confirmation Class and Children's Choirs. Our next Family Service is Sunday morning, February 23.

OUR INTERIM MINISTER

Our Interim Minister, Rev. James McKenzie, began serving the church the first week of November. Jim has enjoyed meeting each of you, and invites you to call or stop by anytime.

JEFF'S RETIREMENT

As many of you know, Jeff retired at the end of October. His last Sunday was October 27. He will be missed beyond words!

LIGHTHOUSE YOUTH MINISTRY

Our church partners with four other churches in Port Washington and Saukville to support the Lighthouse Youth Ministry for middle and high schoolers. To learn more about the group, visit their website and check out Lighthouse - Port Washington Saukville Ecumenical Youth Ministry on Facebook.

NURSERY

Every Sunday morning during the 10:00 service we provide a nursery for children newborn through 4-years-old. Care is provided by our 8th grade Confirmation students and their families. Parents are required to register their children, and to sign their children in and out of the nursery. We want to do our very best to make the nursery safe and secure.

FELLOWSHIP HOUR ON SUNDAY MORNINGS

We host a Fellowship Hour following our 8:00 service on the first Sunday of each month, and following our 10:00 services on the second and fourth Sundays of each month.

WEDNESDAY LUNCH AT CHURCH

Every Wednesday at Noon, you are invited to meet with our Interim Minister, Jim, at church for lunch and Bible study. The group always takes time to visit before reflecting upon the lectionary reading for the upcoming Sunday. Coffee is provided, but please bring your own lunch.

MEN’S BREAKFAST

Men in the church are invited to gather for breakfast every Thursday morning, at 8:00. The group meets at The Beacon restaurant in The Harborview hotel in downtown Port Washington.

SNOW CANCELLATION POLICY

With winter upon us, we want to remind you of the snow cancellation policy for our Sunday services. If it should be necessary to cancel one or both of our Sunday services, we will put a message on the church answering machine by 7:00 on Sunday morning. Please call the church office, 284-2022, if you have any doubts about the weather.

YOGA AT CHURCH

A yoga class is held in Fellowship Hall every Wednesday evening from 5:15 - 6:15. The cost is $10 per class. For more information, please contact Susan Niederfrank at susanniederfrank@gmail.com.

MEDITATION AT CHURCH

A meditation class is held in Fellowship Hall every Wednesday evening from 7:00 - 8:00. The cost is $10 per class. For more information, please contact Kierstin Cira at kierstincira@msn.com.

ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS

An AA Group meets at our church every Sunday afternoon at 3:00. For more information, please contact the church office.
